Toshiba's perpendicular storage technology could boost iPod classic's capacity. iPod classic model has 160GB harddisk now. It is essentially two 80 GB platters total forming 160 GB. Toshiba is developing technologies that will increase the platter size to 120 GB that is 240 GB 1.8 inch harddisk. The product ios likely to released in 2009.
